Will it fall off during a heavy set?
The base uses 6 N52 neodymium magnets, the strongest grade commonly made. On a steel rack it stays put through racking, re-racking and dropped plates.
Will the magnet damage my phone?
No. Phones, including iPhones with MagSafe, are designed to work with magnets. Your camera, screen and battery are unaffected.
Clamp or MagSafe, which should I get?
Clamp works with every phone and case. MagSafe snaps straight onto an iPhone 12 or newer, or any phone in a MagSafe case, so it goes on faster. If you're unsure, get the Clamp.
Does it work on my gym's equipment?
It works on anything steel, which covers nearly all racks, cages, Smith machines and cable stacks. It won't stick to aluminum, wood or plastic.
